What's this all about?
This is another case of the big box stores having no
regard for residential communities when choosing where to locate their
operations. Normally when you hear about this type of thing you think
of WalMart. This time it's Kohl's.
Take a few minutes to look at the map below. Browse to where
they're currently located, then look where they're trying to move.
Right next to an elementary school in a neigborhood of hundreds and hundreds
of homes. This quiet community is about to be completely overshadowed
by a two story 110,000 square foot building with almost 700 parking places.
We all realize that Kohl's is looking for a profitable area to set up shop,
every business is. We just believe that Kohl's current location or
another pre-existing commercial location in the Bel Air area is much better
suited for such a store.
