No Kohl's in Forest Hill

Tell Kleins...No Kohl's in Forest Hill

Kohl's Sample Letter

To Whom it May Concern:

I have recently learned of the plans to build a Kohl’s store in the Forest Lakes community.  As a member of this rural community I feel I must voice my opposition to this decision.  I have always enjoyed shopping at your Bel Air location which is less than fifteen minutes from my house.  However, I will not continue to shop at any Kohl’s location should you choose to build in Forest Hill.

Please consider the fact that you will be building directly next to an elementary school and recreation facility.  As a parent of small children who will be walking to both of these locations I am extremely concerned.  Your store will cause a major increase in traffic on Osborne Parkway.  Due to the fact that this is a neighborhood, there are constantly children and families walking, riding bikes and pushing strollers on this road.  This is no place to put a large department store!  Please consider the tremendous consequences!  I am positive that the majority of this community is opposed to this as it poses not only a traffic inconvenience, but a major safety hazard.

I thank you for your time and hope you will reconsider this decision.

To Whom This May Concern:

I am aware that you want to build a Kohl's store in Forest Hill, Maryland 21050.  I want you to know that I am strongly opposed to this decision.  Forest Hill is a rural community and we do not need a clothing/textiles store here.  We can drive less than 15 minutes to your store in Bel Air, which is what we have always done and will continue to do.  In this area, we "go" to Bel Air to go shopping.  No one that I know of goes to "Forest Hill" to shop.

I think it is a poor decision for you to place your store here because 1) people are not going to drive to Forest Hill to shop at your store, 2) it is directly next to an Elementary School where the majority of children walk to school which I believe poses a major safety hazard, and 3) you will lose my business as well as most people in this area because we do not want a Kohl's in Forest Hill.  I have not spoken with one person who supports Kohl's coming to our small, rural town.  We will all continue to drive, as we ALWAYS have, to Bel Air to do the bulk of our shopping which includes Kohl's.

Please consider what I have said and know that if a Kohl's is built in Forest Hill that you have lost my business forever!!!

Thank you for your time.
